…seen this man?
He’s wanted for announcing a stream on Twitch and then failing to go live as promised. It’s a serious offense under the fictitious penal code 1t54 j0k3, and the Twitch Police Department supposedly wants a word with him. But let’s drop the jokes; here’s the real issue.
My streaming PC gave up on me. The power supply, which was quite old, popped and wouldn’t output a display. Some of my internal PCI-E cards stopped working as well. Taking a risk, I invested in a new power supply, and fortunately, it revived the PC, but other issues arose.
The USB-C socket on my stream deck is loose or something, causing intermittent power failures. After applying some electrical cleaning spray to the socket and ordering a new cable, it now seems to power up consistently from a cold start. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to work.
I’ve also had trouble with some USB extension cords having loose connections. I’ve ordered replacements, which should arrive today.
If (and it’s a big IF) this solves the USB connection issues, we might go live today. And if we do, I have a surprise waiting for you all.
