… after a very long hiatus :O , but yes I’m back! Have done a couple of lil streams to warm up with, anyway there’s a lot of stuff over the last past month. Streaming PC completely failing (raid 0 array failing, and no backup *cries*) and having to reinstall the whole damn thing. But fret not, I have reinstalled the streaming PC’s operating system in raid 1 mode.
This is a raid mode with redundancy, which basically means if the primary nvme fails, then the secondary will kick in and take over. What’s even better is the raid 1 array will rebuild on failure too, so you will always have a backup at hand, and this is all done in real time. Data striping ftw!
The other shambles that happened, was me trying to be clever and install cat8 cable throughout my new abode and totally fucking up the cable countless times. Don’t bother buying them tooless RJ45 connectors, they work, but it really does depend on the strength of the sheath inside the cat8 cable (heh, you said sheath!). So basically when you clamp the RJ45 plug down to break the sheath, it will just bend the cable instead. So yea, crap.
Anyway it was a total disaster, and for now I just have the cable running under the cable again. Gah 🙁
With this series of unfortunate events, you can prob guess that my drive for streaming dwindled.
However the streaming PC is back up and running as mentioned in a few paragraphs ago, but it’s in a very raw basic setup. A lot of the fancy stuff is now gone 🙁 It will take some time to get it all built up the way it was, but for now, it’s basic bitch streams from me lol.
On a more positive note, on my return I did finally complete Yakuza 8 The Man Who Erased his Name. Bloody good game, if not a little short with the main story, but a DAMN good game anyway :D. So you know what that means? Yep you got it…
We coming back on the next stream with Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii! I sure hope OMB is around for this on ehehe.
