Hello there you awesome ppl’s of the interwebs. So currently the world is changing at a rapid pace, tis a devolution of modern times sadly. Currently I am still able to stream and stuffs, but with increasing face ID requirements for all major social media platforms, and anything that has a user interaction, some of the things I dabble with, may just simply disappear 🙁
However, this is not the purpose of this update, currently focusing on the present, so lets what’s on the agenda for streaming related activities.
Been dabbling with a few games lately, most notably games that do suffer with odd frame pacing issues. A couple of those games are Mafia – Definite Edition, and GTA 4. It turns out the direct X api’s of them games aint the best (not knocking direct X, but sometimes these API’s arent optimized very well).
To get round this I am using something that a lot of steam deck and linux gamers maybe familiar with. It’s graphics wrapper for Direct X 8/9/10 and 11. What it does, is convert direct x calls to the vulkan API. Amazingly, the vulkan api is so resource wise, that this will usually fix bad optimization with Direct X.
Frame pacing issues, and juddery visuals suddenly disappear, and everything is smooth as pie again. If you are interested in giving this a spin for yourself, simply click on this DXVK link.

So there you have it peeps, with my AC unit rescueing me from the abyss of non streamage, we can get right back into a streaming rotation. So that’s about it.
